In every city or town with a buzzing local music scene there usually is an awesome zine, website, or venue headquarters that is the go to place to get connected there. Local Ear started in 1998 with the objective to serve the town where we are headquartered and its surrounding areas. Now we still serve Nevada, Missouri as that local heartbeat, but we now also serve as a bridge to connect local music scenes together with our Local Ear Network.
As you can realize we obviously cannot be everywhere, and all things to everyone. With that said we want to be the magazine between magazines, the scene between scenes, and a supportive friend, and fan to the artists and musicians that work so tirelessly to entertain the masses again and again each night. We want to promote new music from indie, and undiscovered artists and bands in our network, where our readers, subscribers, and newsstand distributors are at.
